March comes in like a lion

Tom Moore, Sr. Meteorologist, The Weather Channel

Snow showers will continue overnight and Wednesday downwind of the Great Lakes from Michigan and northern Indiana to New York and western Pennsylvania. Flurries will occur elsewhere. Snowfall will be generally light, except for heavier accumulations in persistent lake-effect bands.

Elsewhere, a trough of low pressure off the West Coast will keep showers in the forecast from coastal sections of central California to western Washington.

On Wednesday, a disturbance aloft drifting out of New Mexico into Texas will pull in Gulf moisture and bring the threat of rain from the Texas Hill Country eastward to the Gulf. There will be thunderstorms, some containing hail, as well.
