Jeb
The dead kids thread disappeared suddenly. This board has become well-known for posters being allowed to discuss anything, even extremely distressful topics. The fact that the thread in question disappeared suddenly reminds me STARKLY of another board that is so ultra conservative that it makes me sick to my stomach just to think of that sick board. DON'T MAKE ME HAVE TO MENTION THE NAME OF THAT OTHER BOARD, JUST THINKING OF IT MAKES ME HORRIFICALLY NAUSEOUS. This country and the entire world are changing rapidly. Let's confront it, not hide from it like a bunch of COWARDLY, YELLOW-BELLIED, half-cocked pussies. I am already dragging this board kicking and screaming into discussions about the New Era of the North American Union and absolute runaway technology that will definitely NOT give humanity a ghost of a chance to keep up, except for freaks like myslef who WILL be able to keep up with exponentially developing technology. Many people will NEVER be able to keep pace with exponentially increasing technological research, innovation, development and subsequent deployment either emotionally and/or intellectually. There are market forces which are driving this technological acceleration, both within the US and around the globe: University research, multinational, intercontinental mega corporations, and govermental research groups, both intranational and international, along with some old-fashioned human drives that we've had since the rise of intelligent man: Greed, Pride, and The Need for Power. I am counting on these human traits to drive technology forward. The above statements form the basis for my assertions that mankind is acting to kick natural biological evolution into overdrive which will rapidly facilitate augmented evolutionary selection on a highly accelerated, rapidly shortening timescale. REINSTATE THE THREAD, or risk OBSOLESCENCE in a RAPIDLY CHANGING WORLD. Deal with it.
