ET 2/15/2005 Tom Moore, Senior Meteorologist, The Weather Channel Rain will change to snow overnight from west to east across the Great Lakes region. Look for significant accumnulations over parts of southern Michigan, with lesser amounts in cities like Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland. Snow may hamper the morning commute on Wednesday in cities like Buffalo and Rochester, N.Y. To the south, a few thunderstorms may spread eastward from Missouri to the Ohio Valley. In the West, look for some snow, overnight, over the higher elevations of northern and central Colorado. A storm parked off the coast of California will keep moisture flowing into the state, especially in central sections. The central Sierra Nevada may pick up over a foot of new snow. Rain and snow showers will spread eastward through Nevada and into Utah.
