Tropical storm forms east of Philippines

2:00 p.m. ET ET Sun.,Nov.14,2004

Kevin Roth, Senior Meteorologist, The Weather Channel

With the end of the Atlantic and eastern Pacific season rapidly approaching no developing tropical systems are on the horizon of note.

A tropical storm formed east of the Philippines Sunday morning (EST) and is moving off to the northwest. The tropical storm should bring a plentiful amount of rain as it moves across the northern Philippines later Monday and Tuesday. Some slow strengthening is possible with this system.
