As low pressure develops in the southern Plains and moves northeastward, rain is spreading into the Mississippi Valley and Gulf Coast regions. Look for rain to spread into the Tennessee and Ohio Valley areas by early Tuesday.

Meanwhile, snow is developing on the western side of the low in Kansas and it will move northeastward to Illinois on Tuesday. Accumulations will generally be light.
