Some activity in the central Caribbean

The Atlantic and Pacific Basins remain quiet. There is, however, a little hiccup in the central Caribbean. A convergence of winds (easterly wave) has produced an area of thunderstorms south of Haiti. We'll continue to monitor this convection and any possible development of a surface low especially if the thunderstorms persist through the day.

In the Indian Ocean, Tropical Cyclone 02S has been downgraded to a depression as it brings rain to parts of Tanzania.
