Tropical Storm Otto has formed about 810 miles east of Bermuda The storm is moving slowly to the north and will eventually wander eastward well away from any land masses.

The rest of the Atlantic Basin (and eastern Pacific Basin) remains quiet.

In the western Pacific, Typhoon Nanmadol (105 mph) continues to strengthen. The storm passed near Yap Island early on Tuesday and is now tracking WNW toward the Philippines. Nanmadol is forecast to approach Luzon as a very powerful typhoon on Thursday (U. S. time).
